We caught up with Nexus The League to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

Let’s get to it…

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

The fact that I don’t have to work for a label.

I’m getting all my money myself.

And the shows! Bro…the shows! lol!

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

You’d probably see a mess to be honest…lmao!

But typically I use garageband which is nice but I’m just starting to see how limited of a DAW it actually is.

My producer, Yxng Demon, is my go to guy for pretty much everything music wise.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

I love making music but I love performing so much more!

I get shows dummy lit bro!

Moshpits…stage dives…the whole 9!

And i wouldn’t trade that experience for anything in the world!

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

Honestly, I really don’t know!

My last project was a vibe in the beginning…

And then the beat dropped again, and i started raging!

So it’s up to everybody else to decide!

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

Kinda both!

I plan to drop stuff on a certain day but 9 out of 10 times I’m still working on it up until the release date…

While other people upload their music way ahead of time.

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

I have new music dropping all year bruh!

And it’s gonna be nothing but heat!

As far as features go, it really just depends on who I run into over the course of the next 6 months.

And gigs…the first chance I get to play a live show again, I swear to God, I’m on it like white on rice!

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?

I want to, but it’s still up in the air right now, like with some of the other stuff it just depends on what happens in the next few months.

Are there any collaborations, past or future, that you are excited about?

I mean everything I do with Yxng Demon I get hype asf about every time because I know it’s gonna be quality work every time.

What inspires your creative process?

The devil’s lettuce!

What is your favorite album of all time and why?

Honestly, I don’t really be listening to music all that much!

But Jay Z’s 444 is definitely in my top 3 always!

And why because it pretty much reminded black culture of our roots that we literally came from nothing, got put through hardships, and still managed to get one of us in The White House.

Who makes up your existing creative team?
i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout-out?

Myself and Yxng Demon…producer, engineer, and artist.

His girl is our photographer for the most part.

And that’s pretty much it!

I was in a few groups before, but the all kinda dissolved.

Where can we find you on social media?

All Platforms, but Instagram is my home and twitter is just fun!
