We caught up with Slit to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

Let's get to it...

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

I feel free...

I have power over my music!

I release whenever I want!

I plan my own role out every year!

I do things on my own, and the way I want them!

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

My studio is a home studio...I'm simple!

I have the equipment I need, it's nothing too big.

I do my own engineering and just try to get the best of me.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

I enjoy the whole process, from record and production to performing live and promotion.

Even though I'm not that good at promoting my music...I still enjoy!

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

A heartfelt and sad song, that has a fast, smooth rhythm.

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

Usually I plan my releases, five days before I release...

Yet some how I can't get enough promotion!

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

Okay...with gigs, I'm not sure! Because only a few booked me...

but it isn't looking good, especially with the managers!

But I do have a release plan, it's an album titled 'Buenos De Mayor' which means 'Good The Greatest' in English.

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!

Well I'm not sure, because the music that's out now I just released...I didn't plan anything!

Are there any collaborations past or future that you are excited about, producers, artists, instrumentalists or songwriters?

Yes, there are future collaborations with Producers like Dooushii, SiNO, and many more!

And also rappers like Huey, Tyson ST...

What inspires your creative process?

My daily life and how I see the world...

The way I do things!

The way I solve problems!

And most importantly, the way I move!

What are your top three favorite albums of all time? Why those albums?

DO U, Dulce, and IYKYK!

They really speak life into me...they are very relatable and meaningful.

Who makes up your existing creative team?i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout out?

Well in the team we only four people...

Theres a "DiFrand,"the photographer...

"Stray" the manager...

And "Frank Despa" another producer!

Where can we find you on social media?
