What is a ‘job’?
A job is a particular type of service you offer to the buyers on Indiy. It can be creating a CD cover, teaching music, track mastering, artist promotion, and any other service related to music. If you have multiple skills to offer, make sure you create one job listing for each service, and you are good to go!
What should I write in the job title?
Job title should be short and sweet. If you cannot come up with a creative title, we would recommend starting with “I will...” and telling your potential buyers what they can get from you. As simple as that.
I cannot fit my job title in the character limit. What should I do?
Your job title must fit in the character limit, otherwise it will be shortened and some words may disappear or be cut in the middle. Therefore, try to be short and clear to give the essence of your service.
How do I define the price of my job?
One of the main benefits of Indiy is the freedom we give to our sellers. You can price your services in any way you want. Nevertheless, we would advise to do a research and see what prices other sellers offer in order to be competitive and not under- or overprice your job.
What is the minimum price I can set?
The minimum price of a job is 5 GBP, USD or EUR.
Is there a maximum price of a job?

Can I change the currency?
Sure. Go to the bottom of the website and click on the currency icon located on the left, or next to the search bar at the top of the page. Choose any currency that works best for you - GBP, USD or EUR.
Some tracks take more time than others. Can I use my hourly rate?
Absolutely. If you cannot define your fixed rate, it is possible to indicate your hourly rate. After your buyer sends you their track and other requirements, you will be able to estimate how long it will take you, and therefore give the final price.
Is it possible to be hired by someone on a monthly basis?
Yes. If you are looking for long-term project-based collaborations, you can set your monthly rate for the services you offer.
What is the difference between category and subcategory?
Service category is more general than subcategory: it can be teaching, sound, promotion, visuals, and other, while subcategory defines a more narrow field your services belong to: for visuals, it can be CD cover, artwork or music video.
The category/subcategory my job belongs to is not in the list. What do I do?

Try to attribute your services to one of the categories and subcategories in the list so that the buyers can easily find your job listings. We will be adding more soon!
What should I write in the description?
Job description is one of the most crucial aspects of your listing on Indiy. Here are some ideas that you can use when creating your description:
- Your background, experience and education
- What your service package includes
- The benefits your buyers will get from working with you
- Problems you solve with your services
- Why choose you among other sellers
- Whether buyers should contact you before ordering
Can I highlight / customize some parts of the text?
Yes. If you want to highlight some keywords, phrases or entire sentences in your job description, choose the method that works best for you in the bottom of the text field - italics, bold or underlined. Also, don’t forget to use bullet points or numbered lists to make your job description more appealing to your potential clients.
Is it necessary to write a job description?
Yes. It is up to you to decide how long your description will be, nevertheless, we advise including as much information as possible on your service so that the buyers hit that ‘order now’ button without hesitation, they know what to expect and we have something to work with should a resolution be required.
How long should my gig description be?
Your job description can be anything from one sentence to a long complex text. We would recommend you to go for something in between 400 and 900 characters as an optimal solution.
What are the tags and how do I define them?
Tags are keywords or terms that can be assigned to your job listing. Be accurate and precise when choosing your tags as they will define what position your listing will appear on in buyers’ searches.
