We caught up with 6thunderground to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

We love to experiment with different genres and think outside of the box.

As we hate when people try to categorize music.

For example, we don't just wanna make pop music, we wanna make a classical song, then mix it up with electronic vibes.

We always aim to create something special, that you don't hear every day

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

We have our lil' home studio and we mix and master our songs ourselves.

We usually use a guitar for lead melodies and synths for atmospheric sounds.

And we also like to use traditional instruments like a Tibetan singing bowl but basically, we always try to bring something new into each song.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

We only had a few chances separately with my previous projects to perform, but we really enjoyed it...It's a wonderful feeling!

As producers, songwriters, musicians, vocalists we love the creative writing and recording process too. It's like our hideout.

Sometimes we just wake up and already have a song idea in our heads, start messing around with some instruments, and then at the end of the day, when we finish the song we realize we didn't even eat!

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

"Due to covid, we can't go on a trip, but we can listen to "4UD10T-R1P" (Audiotrip) and that's pretty much the same."

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

We always plan some parts of it but we prefer going with the flow at some points.

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

We already have a 12 track album on the way that's coming out on 14.02. And a music video for one of the featured songs.

We're also writing a musical around the songs that we will perform on Instagram live due to covid restrictions.

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?

Well...Danny had a previous project (Dead Danny) and he has a music video for one of his songs "date with mary jane" but 6thUnderground also has a video on the way.

Are there any collaborations past or future that you are excited about, producers, artists, instrumentalists, or songwriters?

We did a song with Danny's grandma for the album. She's a spiritual person and an experienced musician.

She does sound healing with traditional Tibetan instruments and intuitive singing.

Which artists inspire your creative process?

Everything. It can be the topic of a recent conversation, an experience we had, or just the way we feel at the moment.

It's the two of us...Jazmin and Danny. We do everything from writing, recording, production to publishing.
