We caught up with Baby Blue to talk about her music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

I enjoy having the freedom to release music when I want.

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

I have different studio’s I go to, but one in particular is Called “Evo Auditory”.

It’s very soothing!

The lights change colors in the booth, making it a intimate setting.

As far as engineers, I definitely have a go-to, but I have a couple I record with.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

I actually enjoy every aspect of being an artist.

But if I had to choose I’d say recording.

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

"A very nice body of work!"

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

I plan my releases.

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

I will be dropping another EP so be on the lookout for that!

I also have a show coming up on March 20th.

And last but not least I will be dropping a visual each month!!

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?

There will be a visual to my song “Questions” dropping later this month!

Are there any collaborations, past or future, that you are excited about?

Yes, a feature song 'On My Momma' with a buddy by the name Dougie The Dripster...He’s also a producer as well.

What inspires your creative process?

Really just everyday situations or things that have happened in the past.

What are your top five favorite albums of all time and why those albums?

Al Green’s Greatest Hits Album
Beyoncé 'BDay' Album
And Ti 'Paper Trail' Album.

Why I chose those albums...because that’s what a body of work should sound like!

Who makes up your existing creative team?
i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout-out?
