We caught up with Foeva Beatz to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

Let's get to it...

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

The ability to upload and release the music I enjoy whenever I want honestly...

I'm sure it's way harder getting things approved by a label or management group.

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

The way I record is the home studio life.

I mix and master all of my own work.

Gear...we have an Aston mic, a Focusrite, some solid speakers for mixing, and an IMac that runs logic pro x.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

Honestly, both are amazing in their own way!

Being able to be creative in the lab...

And then turn around and be able to perform it in front of people who enjoy my art is priceless!

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

Not the same as anyone else...

I don't like when people compare people to each other.

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

Both!..

It's hard to hold a fire song sometimes!

I've gotten to the point of if I drop a single, I have to save the next song for a project in the future.

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

I have a show with YBN Namir coming up, on August 20th, in Colorado Springs, which should be cool with the bro Kidd K3v.

And I also have Warm Ups 3 coming out July 30...

Those are my big pushes at the moment!

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!

I have over 22 videos on YouTube maybe more!

I'd say checkout maybe Turning Up, Checklist, Don't, and Demons...my favorites for sure!

I plan on dropping at least 1 video every month so stay tuned...

Are there any collaborations past or future that you are excited about, producers, artists, instrumentalists or songwriters?

If I get the Drake vocals from Dj Khaled...

or if J. Cole bless me with a verse that would be a blessing!

I'm grateful for all the people I have worked with!

And if I make it...they know they coming with me as well!

What inspires your creative process?

Everyday situations along with past experiences.

If I make the beat or if I find one and the vibe is triggered...green lights a'go!

Music shouldn't be something you overthink...

If you got it you got it!

What are your top three favorite albums of all time? Why those albums?

Top 3?...

Honestly I don't have any!

Vibes change too much to have a list of lock in spots.

Maybe one day I'll do a Tier level type video on YouTube.

Who makes up your existing creative team?i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout out?

So my camp and brother & sisters... NoSleepGang...

Or the people I work with when I can't get something done on my own.

For cover art I have a few people I can go to...Armon Laleh and Yancy are my go to guys.

Photos and images I go to my bros...Andrew and Chris.

My video team is me, and Lazy Shorts...we go by a FoevaLazy Film!

Outside of that I have bunch of bro's I work with like Mostax, Kizoku93, Cam Rex, JayStvsh, Kidd K3v, Ayekoo, Tony Bullet and others.
