We caught up with Glenn Colbert to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

I love the fact that I have creative freedom and I can do exactly what I want to do and I own everything.

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

I have my own personal home studio, but I record in a professional studio in Atlanta. We use logic and ProTools and I have an in-house engineer.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

I love every part of this but if I had to choose...recording, performing live and production are what I would love to do the most.

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

FIRE!!!!!!

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

I plan everything out I'm very strategic.

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

I plan on releasing an Ep and a bunch of music videos with very creative videos and I plan on going to school for media or music.

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?

Yes, I have a ton of music videos that are on the way.

Are there any collaborations past of future that you are excited about, producers, artists, instrumentalists or songwriters?

Not right now but if I do any features it would be with someone in my team.

Which artists inspire your creative process?

Myself! I just want to hear what kind of vibe I can create next. The creating process is better than the finished product for me.

What are your top three favorite albums of all time & why those albums?

These albums did a lot for me musically and resonated with me more than any other projects I've ever heard.
