We caught up with Go Getta to talk about her music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

Let’s get to it…

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

I enjoy the freedom.

I can make any song I want to and I have the choice whether to release it or not.

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

If you was to look over my shoulder in my studio…

You’d see LED lights, the ones that change colour to the beat of the music.

And incense…something to keep the vibe!

My equipment usually is my spire isotope!

Who I seen 2Chainz use on an Ad!

And I have both a producer and engineer due to the fact that people hear different things!

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

I like the performing, the live part, and the promotion.

It gives you more insight into who listens to your music.

And it actually gives you a chance to engage and network, and give back etc.

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

I would want them to say…

“Its a head banger”…

With progression from my last tracks!

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

I plan…It’s all about algorithm!

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

Y’all can expect a new song…

Hopefully a show too but due to covid it’s been difficult!

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?

Yes, I am…for my latest song.

Had to!

I have a couple of videos released on my YouTube page Gogetta 5ive

Are there any collaborations, past or future, that you are excited about?

I have one collaboration on a song called ‘Ice’.

And I’m aiming for a feature from Kirko Bangz.

What inspires your creative process?

Experience.

What are your top two favorite albums of all time and why those albums?

Drake – Nothing Was The Same
During that time, it seemed like the whole CD was made for me to hear!
It fit my lifestyle at the time.

And Drake – If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late
I simply like that album for 1) the title says it all…
And then every song reflected.

Who makes up your existing creative team?
i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout-out?

Honestly, my supporters do!

I would love to give a big shout to those who support me!
