What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?
I enjoy the grind and the hustle and the hard work!
Also just knowing that it’s all gonna pay off.
If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?
I have a USB microphone and a Logic Pro X free trial.
I engineer everything myself.
Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?
I’ve never performed live but I know I’d enjoy it.
I do sort of like recording and production though.
How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?
"Fire!"
Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?
I try to release at least once a month or more.
What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?
I'm planning a debut album right now to drop summer 2021.
Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?
I’d love to do a music video when I get the budget for it!
Are there any collaborations, past or future, that you are excited about?
I collaborated with an up-and-coming artist in my city, Dallas, TX.
His name is Ryan Hartnell.
He’s incredibly talented!
And we push each other to be great.
What inspires your creative process?
I draw creativity from everything!
What are your top three favorite albums of all time & why?
Nothing Was the Same by Drake
Young Thug - Slime Season 3
And J. Cole - 2014 Forest Hills Drive
All fantastic albums that really speak to me!
Who makes up your existing creative team?
i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout-out?
I do almost everything myself...
Record, engineer, promote.
However, a producer who I think deserves a special shout-out is cj_thirteen.
