We caught up with Pilogram to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

Let's get to it...

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

The freedom, having no deadlines and doing things at my own pace and time!

Also, being able to experiment with different sounds and not be restricted by a label.

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

I have a very simple studio...

I use KRK Rokit 5 studio monitors, Senneiser HD 206 headphones, M-audio keystation 49 midi keyboard...

And an old HP i5 laptop!

I use a cheap Dixon Microphone to record vocals!

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

"High energy EDM"...the way it should be!

What makes a good song in your opinion?

A good mix and master and loads of talent!

I love a song with transitions...

A song has to have an emotional appeal, and high energy and balance!

How do you know that you want to work with a certain artist or a group or band?

When their music connects with me...

For me it does not matter how far ahead they are compared to me!

What matters is the talent and compatibility of styles.

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

I plan my own music releases!

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

I have a few singles planned with Roundy, Nash La Musica.

And I am also working on an EDM album with Anxania.

Are there any collaborations, past or future that you are excited about?

Anxania is a very good vocalist and song writer!

It is always exciting to work with her!

Working with Nash La Musica has also been a huge leap for me because he is quite big in the Afrohouse scene...

I would also love to work with Black Coffee and Ryan Sullivan in the future.

What inspires your creative process?

I have realized that most of my musical ideas arise when I take a walk in nature.

I also love to listen to other artists for inspiration.

What is your top favorite albums of all time & why that album?

True by Avicii has to be my best album of all time!

The emotion and brilliance in transitions was a masterpiece...

I do not thing there will be any album like it any time soon!

And finally where can we find you on social media?

On social media find me @Pilogram_Stylze
