We caught up with Quan Hundo to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

Let's get to it...

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

I like the freedom that I have to release music and really just create whatever music that I like.

I know that most signed artists don't really have creative control over their music.

And being independent is really good in that aspect.

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

I actually don't use anything special.

I'm not recording in a big studio...

I actually am recording off GarageBand on my MacBook.

I believe in there not being excuses for making music if you really want to do it.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

I really like it all honestly!

The recording process is really fun when you start getting into it.

And even though I haven't had a live performance yet...

I know that I'll enjoy it!

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

"No Misses No Cap!!!!!!!!"

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

Sometimes I just release songs whenever I feel like it, but most of the time I plan them out.

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

Right now I'm working on a lot of songs that I plan to release.

Not really a project, just individual singles that I'll drop and space them out.

Once I build a bigger following I plan on dropping a project.

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?

As of right now I don't have any music videos planned. But in the future for sure!

Are there any collaborations, past or future, that you are excited about?

I haven't collaborated with anyone as of yet...

I really want to collaborate with artist on a few songs though.

What inspires your creative process?

Whatever I'm feeling, what I've gone through during the day, and just listening to beats.

Free-styling is really what I do on every song and if I'm not feeling a beat I won't use it.

Who makes up your existing creative team?
i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout-out?

As of right now I don't have a team.

I know that it would progress my career but I don't know where to start with that.
