We caught up with Sarkastik Ambassador to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?
Having the freedom to just create without boundaries.
If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?
I use a studio that my engineer and best man owns.
56 Studios in Woodbrook, Trinidad and Tobago.
Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?
Both!
But I really hate the promotion side of things though!
How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?
"This was fire! He got this in the bag.”
Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?
Both to be honest!
What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?
I have a song being released at the end of the month...
And then I’m working on a project with Nick Soul!
Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?
No plans as of yet but I’m sure there will be something soon!
What inspires your creative process?
My wife!
She’s my main inspiration...
And then past experiences.
What are your top three favorite albums of all time and why those albums?
Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon
Childish Gambino - Because the Internet
And Nas - Illmatic.
Who makes up your existing creative team?
i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout-out?
My engineer for sure...Arion Stafford.
He really takes his time to make sure vocals are laid to perfection.
