We caught up with Sir Gangsta. T to talk about his music. At Indiy we champion musicians.

Let's get to it...

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

What I enjoy the most is being able to do my own music.

From making the beats to writing the lyrics, recording the vocals, mixing it...

And distributing it myself for the world to hear.

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

At home I have a basic home studio setup, totaling no more then $1000 in gear.

With blue microphones, focusrite interface, quality headphones, and a HP laptop that I use when I feel like recording myself...

Or for when I want to knock out extra songs on my own.

I also have a go-to engineer that I use when the workload gets overwhelming!

And I hire a studio when needed.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

I enjoy recording and production the most, but I also enjoy performing live and promotion.

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

That new Sir Gangsta. T album 'Black Gangsta 2' is sweet and motivational!

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

I plan my music releases ahead of time.

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

Yes...I have a new album getting ready to be released...

'Black Gangsta 2 Roman' will be out in late Spring.

And no future gigs at this time.

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?

Yes, I will be releases two videos for this new upcoming project.

Are there any collaborations, past or future, that you are excited about?

Yes! I have done a lot of collaborations in the past.

And on this future project, that I am excited about I've collabed with the producers, and artists.

What inspires your creative process?

Things that I go through in my life.

What are your top three favorite albums of all time & why?

This is a tuff one, my three top favorite albums of all time come from my catalogue:

1.) Black Gangsta
2.) War on the Streets, Vol. 5
3.) Stick to the Facts, Vol. 4

I have a total of 9 albums, and love them all!

But these three albums really helped to set the tone of the type of artist that I am...

Which is a gangsta trap rapper!

Who makes up your existing creative team?
i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout-out?

My existing creative team is a team about 10-12 people.

And if I had to give one person a shout out...

It would be to all the producers who have helped me put this latest project together 'Black Gangsta 2 Roman'.
