What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?

I love having full creative control over my brand and business.

I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my craft...

But even more sensitive about my brand!

If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?

I work from a home studio with my partner in crime and music, Bri-Live.

When we come together we’re called “Oh Dat So Flo”.

And in that space is where we engineer our own music, media and promo.

Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?

I’m a sucker for a live performance!

Something about the transfer of energy creates an improved and organic musical experience.

How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?

A staple through the rest of times!!

Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?

I plan them usually...

But this summer will be the beginning of many random single drops.

What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?

Our mixtape “Florida Water” is releasing this month (April).

And like I mentioned before, many singles this summer will be released.

What I’m most excited for is the album!

That should be done by August.

Are you planning any videos for your music? Are there any videos we need to know about!?

We’re working on a music video right now for the single off me and Bri-Live’s mixtape entitled “Faded”.

Are there any collaborations, past or future, that you are excited about?

I’ve been working with DJ TrapHouse on a single for his all female project.

Also I work pretty closely with Talien Gang...

And those are always special tracks!

What inspires your creative process?

Pain...I don’t want to make too much sad girl music but boy oh boy, pain gets the emotion out of me.

What are your top three favorite albums of all time & why?

1. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

...because it’s Lauryn hill! And who else can be considered a legend with one album!

2. Frank Ocean - Blonde

I believe Frank is the most underrated and greatest artist of our time

And 3. Lil Kim - The Notorious K.I.M.

...because this was the first female rap album I owned and laid the foundation.

Who makes up your existing creative team?
i.e. photographers, video directors, social media managers, paid media specialists, stylists, hair, and makeup…Name someone who you think deserves a special shout-out?
