We caught up with Xavier Smith aka KDX Productions aka Slizzer 37 to talk about his music.

What do you enjoy most about being an independent musician?
The freedom of creating without restrictions.
If we were to peek over your shoulder, what does your studio look like? What gear do you typically use?
My laptop running Akai 2.9 and Ableton lite 10, focusrite interface.
I am an engineer so no need to hire or go to another location!
Do you enjoy recording and production, or do you like performing live and promotion?
Recording and production.
How would you want people to describe your latest project in a tweet?
Mind blowing...something that had never heard before...
A completely new type of music experience.
Do you plan your music releases, or do you just finish a song and release it?
Just finish a song and release it!
What can we expect from you within the next 6 months? Any releases planned? Future gigs?
I plan to release 2-4 new songs, but no gigs planned!

Are there any collaborations, past or future, that you are excited about?
I have worked with many artists in the past, (too many to list!)
And right now, I have nothing scheduled in the foreseeable future!
What inspires your creative process?
Life and love.
What are your top three favorite albums of all time & why?
King of the Jungle 2 (jungle compilation)
This album opened my eyes to the different styles of the Jungle genre.
Led Zepplin’s 1st album.
It is the first song I can remember hearing!
And the Star Wars soundtrack
I loved the arrangements by John Williams.
Who makes up your existing creative team?
